What’s inside the Harden Up

Quilting fabrics

The top quilting layer is a luxurious hard-wearing knitted cashmere fabric — soft to the touch, but extremely durable. The side fabric is a high-end knitted charcoal and light-grey sofa fabric, a unique and bold design for a pocket-spring mattress.

A premium Eurotop

The thick Eurotop (box pillowtop) has three premium foam layers inside it.

The top layer is gel-infused memory foam — a soft-feeling foam that moulds comfortably to your unique body shape. Millions of beads of medical cooling gel are infused into the foam to regulate body temperature.

The middle layer is natural pin-core latex. Latex is a bit firmer than memory foam with a high elasticity, giving great support and pressure relief where you need it most. The pin-core holes are designed to disperse heat.

The firm high-density foam layer is what gives this mattress its firm feel. (The key difference between The Dog House and The Harden Up is this layer — softer in the Dog House, firmer in the Harden Up.)

7-zone pocket-spring system

Below the three premium foam layers sits a 22cm, 7-zone pocket-spring system with reinforced edge support. A 7-zone mattress gives firmer support where you need it (head, lumbar, knees, feet) and is slightly softer in other zones (shoulders, hips, calves), allowing those areas to sink deeper for pressure relief.
